The Ekiti State Chapter of the National Council of Muslim Youths Organisation (NACOMYO) has dissociated itself from the political campaigns and specifically denounced a Muslim organisation which it said had been collecting money from politicians.
Speaking through its state coordinator, Alhaji Tajudeen Ahmed in a statement yesterday, the body affirmed it remained apolitical.
NACOMYO, thus disowned the group Muslim Youths for Osoko Mass Movement, saying it does not recognise the group as representing the interests of Muslim youths.
Muslim Youths for Osoko Mass Movement was one of the groups that organized a rally on Tuesday in support of the PDP candidate to appreciate the nomination of Ogunsakin, a Muslim as the deputy governorship candidate. It said: “Let it be known that the amorphous group known as Muslim Youths for Osoko Mass Movement is not recognized by NACOMYO.
“The Association is not part of the accredited Muslim youth Organizations in Ekiti State. It is a phoney group of political jobbers.
