Mr Malema, president of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), a major opposition political party in South Africa, spoke on Sunday evening during his opening remarks at the Nigeria Bar Association’s Annual General Conference in Enugu.

“This exercise is coming at a time of promotion and salary freeze in most public subsectors and the continued imposition and operation of N70,000 minimum wage.”

Mr Malema urged Africans to present themselves as one people, equal to world powers such as China, Russia, and America, and not as a fragmented continent.

“Together, we hold the keys to Africa’s industrialisation and economic independence when we consider what lies beneath our soils,” Mr Malema said.

The Forum said the new appointments were part of its efforts to reform its secretariat and align operations with international best practices.
