A cleric, Evangelist Joshua Nudegbesi, yesterday urged religious and spiritual leaders to desist from worshipping worldly things and turn to God.
He spoke during an Adult Harvest and Thanksgiving ceremony at the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Saint Jacob Nudegbesi Memorial Cathedral Tube Parish 1 in Tube, Ogun State.
Joshua, the chief host, said: ‘’When we continue to worship worldly things, the havoc will continue.
“It is written in the Bible, Seek ye the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things will be added to it.’’
The evangelist urged Nigerians to be honest and love one another, to enable peace reign in the country.
The Chairman, Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State, Mr Johnson Avoseh, said the relationship among religious leaders in the council was cordial.
Pastor Emmanuel Agosuh, a cleric from CCC First Cathedral Parish, Ijofin, urged youths to look for a good job, instead of resorting to dubious means to get rich.
