Job Summary
- The Mechanical Engineer will provide in-house mechanical design and oversee general site supervision of building projects, ensuring project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review mechanical systems HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc. using AutoCAD and relevant software.
- Oversee general site activities across disciplines not limited to mechanical works to ensure smooth project execution.
- Supervise and verify the proper installation of mechanical systems.
- Track site progress, identify risks or deviations, and recommend corrective measures.
- Collaborate with other engineers and project staff to integrate mechanical systems effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building regulations.
- Provide detailed daily/weekly site reports covering progress of program of worksPOW, risks, and compliance status.
- Contribute to project cost and timeline control by ensuring adherence to plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university.
- COREN registration mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in building design and general site supervision.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design tools e.g., Revit MEP, HAP, SolidWorks.
- Sound knowledge of construction standards, safety codes, and compliance practices.
- Strong teamwork, leadership, and analytical skills.
Salary
N500,000 – N600,000 Monthly.
