
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for Head of Jake Riley Academy in Abuja. The Head of JR Academy will be responsible for leading and managing the Academy as a business unit. This includes driving revenue growth, and ensuring the seamless execution of programs and operations. The role is both strategic and operational, requiring strong leadership, entrepreneurial drive, and an ability to deliver high quality training solutions aligned with the company’s vision.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow the Academy’s client base and revenue streams.
- Identify, recruit, and manage a pool of qualified faculty internal and external subject matter experts.
- Oversee design, delivery, and evaluation of Academy programs.
- Ensure all programs are delivered to the highest standard and meet client expectations.
- Develop and implement policies and processes for operational excellence.
- Prepare and manage the Academy’s annual budget and business plan.
- Build and lead a high-performing Academy team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and support staff in achieving professional growth.
- Partner with leadership and HR team to assess the learning needs of employees at all levels, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Design and develop customized training programs, workshops, and learning materials to meet the specific needs of the organization.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops, providing interactive and impactful learning experiences for clients and employees.
- Offer coaching and mentoring to employees, enhancing their skills and supporting their professional growth.
- Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in employee skills and competencies, ensuring continuous development.
- Build relationships with external training providers, consultants, and industry experts
- Utilize learning management systems LMS and other digital tools to deliver, track, and measure training programs effectively.
- Actively promote JR Academy and assist in its setup, ensuring it becomes a cornerstone of the organization’s learning and development efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years Experience
- Certifications in L&D, CMD, CIPM etc
- Experience with e-learning platforms and content development tools
- Proven experience in learning and development, instructional design, or HR consulting.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and learning technologies.
- Ability to leverage L&D strategies to support sales goals and drive revenue growth.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with business leaders, understanding their needs and delivering tailored L&D solutions that add value.
- Ability to stay informed about industry trends and best practices to provide innovative and competitive L&D solutions.
