The House of Representatives yesterday held a marathon closed-door session that lasted for about three hours before resuming plenary.
Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, who presided, called for a motion for the House to dissolve again into an executive session at 12:02 p.m.
The meeting was believed to be connected to issues surrounding debts owed to indigenous contractors by the Federal Government.
The protesting contractors, demanding payment for executed projects, blocked the main entrance and exit gates of the National Assembly complex, preventing vehicular movement in and out of the premises.
Security operatives were seen trying to control the situation as staff and visitors were stranded outside the complex.
