Two persons have been confirmed dead in a fatal auto accident that occurred in Abia State.
The accident, our correspondent gathered to have occurred at the Islala Ngwa Junction axis of Enugu-Umuahia-Aba-Port Harcourt expressway.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 3:00 pm on Friday.
The driver of the ill-fated vehicle was reportedly speeding while carrying heavy loads.
The accident was attributed to over speeding, which was why the driver reportedly lost control of the car and skidded off the major road before it somersaulted inside the nearby bush.
According to eyewitnesses, the two persons that died were suspected to be the driver and another passenger.
Sources said, men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who later arrived evacuated the deceased persons from the accident scene.
As of the time of filing this report, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Abia State Command were yet to release an official statement.
