Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of meals according to hospital menus and patient dietary needs including special diets, allergies, and cultural/religious requirements.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen, storage, and service areas in compliance with infection control and food safety policies.
- Wash, sanitize, and store kitchen utensils, dishes, trays, and equipment.
- Ensure correct storage of food items, monitoring stock rotation First-In-First-Out and reporting shortages or damages.
- Assist in plating and serving meals to patients while ensuring accuracy of diet orders.
- Collect, clean, and return patient meal trays in a timely manner.
- Dispose of waste safely in accordance with hospital and environmental guidelines.
- Follow all health & safety, food hygiene, and infection control regulations.
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations of the hospital kitchen.
- Report equipment faults, safety hazards, or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess an OND / SSCE qualification with 2 years work experience.
Salary
N70,000 per month.
