Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery in the production process. The role involves setting up machines, ensuring efficient production runs, performing quality checks, and carrying out routine maintenance to guarantee smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate assigned machinery safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets.
- Set up machines before production and adjust settings as required.
- Monitor machine performance and promptly report any faults or abnormalities.
- Conduct regular quality checks on products to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance of machines.
- Keep accurate records of production output, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairs under the supervision of maintenance technicians.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Technical Certification, or its equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and drawings.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or overtime if required.
