A delegation of former lawmakers in Ondo State has pledged to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The group, comprising former House of Assembly members, visited Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, at his Abuja office to discuss collaboration ahead of the polls.
Led by former Majority Leader, Olumide Araoyinbo, the delegation said the meeting was aimed at strengthening All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State and ensuring the party’s victory.
Others included Segun Akinyode, Tayo Abidakun, Fola Olasehinde, Dare Emiola, Oyebo Aladetan, Borokini and Adeboro Onibalusi.
Araoyinbo, speaking for the delegation, said the former lawmakers were committed to mobilising grassroots support for APC in the state, noting they still command political influence in their constituencies.
Tunji-Ojo thanked the group for the visit and assured them of his cooperation. He urged them to remain resolute in their commitment to the party, stressing that collective effort would be required to secure Tinubu’s return in 2027.
