Chair  of Aladewe Ride, an e-hailing service, Yomi Akingbade has lauded President Bola Tinubu for appointing Service chiefs.

Akingbade said Tinubu’s decision to sack the ‘non-performing’ Service chiefs is a move long overdue.

He noted that insecurity persisted due to their incompetence, poor coordination, and policy failure.

“From the forests of Zamfara to highways of Abuja–Kaduna, creeks of Niger Delta to shores of Gulf of Guinea, insecurity flourished under their watch. Kidnapping, banditry, insurgency, and piracy became our daily realities. It became imperative to sack them and make new appointments,” he said.

Akingbade hailed National Assembly for ensuring swift transition in the security leadership.

“President Bola Tinubu has made changes in the hierarchy of the Service chiefs in furtherance of efforts by the Federal Government to strengthen the national security architecture. We must also appreciate the National Assembly for being prompt with the screening and approval”.
