Tinubu gets kudos for peaceful by-election

Chairman of All Progressives Congress Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) for Adamawa by-election, Abdulrahman Haske, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for providing strong leadership that supported the peaceful conduct of the by-election in the state on Saturday.

Haske said the President demonstrated that “he is not just a leader but a builder of future leaders providing the enabling socio-political environment, through his leadership, in steering APC and the polity.”

The chairman spoke after APC’s Musa Jaura won the seat to fill the vacancy in the House of Assembly.

Independent Electoral Commission Returning Officer, Prof. Tukur Ahmed, declared Musa winner with 16,923, while his opponent from Peoples Democratic Party, Buba Joda, got 16,794.

“Under leadership of the Youth Supervisory Committee, Abdulrahman Haske, and on behalf of APC, I congratulate Musa Jauro on his victory.

“We greet the people of Ganye Local Government for their participation,” Haske said, adding that the turnout and support by “stand as a testament to the resilience and strength of democracy in our community.”

Haske also appreciated leadership of APC for its support and for entrusting him as chairman of YAC during this by-election.

“My appreciation goes to our party leader in Adamawa and National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and other stakeholders for their contributions throughout the process,” he added.The YAC Chairman said the APC looks forward to working closely with Hon. Jauro to fulfil the party’s promises to the people of Ganye Local Government and to continue driving development across Adamawa State.
